A complete dealer management system, built into the workshop.
Marine Forge Dealer replaces the dealer management system your dealership runs today, and then does what that system cannot, because it runs on the same record as the service department.

Everything you own, before anyone else does.
Inventory
A dealership owns boats, engines and trailers before a customer does. Each one is stocked in its own right, with what it cost you and what it would make.
- Boats, engines and trailers, each serialised and tracked on its own
- New, used, demo, consignment and trade in
- In stock, on order, reserved and sold
- Landed cost, freight and total cost on every unit
- Asking price with the margin it would make
- Photos, description and location against the unit
Packages
A boat, motor and trailer combination with its accessories, saved at a package price, so the thing you actually sell is the thing you actually quote.
A boat in stock is a vessel that has no owner yet.
The day a boat lands it gets a real vessel record, not a placeholder. Its service history starts there, on the same record the buyer inherits at delivery. Fit out and pre delivery inspection are booked against that unit as real jobs, costed to the dealership rather than to a customer, and they land in that unit's profitability. Nothing is copied across when it sells, so nothing can be lost in the copy.

Enquiry to delivered, in one place.
From first conversation to handover
- Goods sold, with units and accessories costed
- Trade in taken against the deal and brought onto the floor as stock
- A deposit invoice and a balance invoice, through the ordinary invoicing
- A sales contract sent for signature
- Margin on the deal, and the balance still owing on delivery
- Delivery that records registration and warranty
At delivery
Registration and warranty are recorded against the boat. The engine sold with it becomes that boat's fitted equipment, and the trailer becomes the buyer's own asset. Each ends up the kind of record it actually is, rather than all three being forced into one shape.
Margin you can actually stand behind.
Per unit
What the boat cost landed, plus the prep and fit out booked against it at your own labour and parts cost, against what it sold for.
Per deal
Units and accessories at cost against the deal total, with the trade in allowance shown separately rather than buried in the margin.
Per salesperson
The same figures gathered by who sold them, so a conversation about performance starts from the record rather than from memory.
Your floor staff see their job, not your costs.
- Dealer principal
- Sales manager
- Salesperson
- Parts
- Warranty administrator
Each role is a set of rights you can tick or untick, because no two dealerships divide the work the same way. Unit costs are withheld at the database rather than hidden on the screen, so a salesperson without the right to see them cannot reach them at all.
Frequently asked questions.
Does this replace our dealer management system?
That is what it is for. Serialised inventory, costs and margins, packages, deals, contracts and delivery are all here. The difference is that it is not a separate system bolted to a workshop package: it is the same record the service department already works on.
What happens to a boat's history when it sells?
Nothing. It stays on the same vessel record and the buyer inherits it. Every job booked against that boat while it sat on the floor is already there, which is how a first service is prepared for properly.
Can a salesperson see what a unit cost us?
Only if you give them the right to. Costs are withheld at the database, not merely hidden on the screen, so a salesperson without that right cannot reach them by any route through the product.
How do engines and trailers work?
They are stocked in their own right, with their own serials and costs. At delivery an engine sold with a boat becomes that boat's fitted equipment and a trailer becomes the buyer's own asset, so each ends up the kind of record it actually is.
Do we need a second system for the workshop?
No, and that is the point. The sale and the service department run on one set of records, so there is nothing to sync, nothing to reconcile and nothing to retype between them.
